“Being part of the North Harbour Club is about more than sponsorship — it’s about helping young people in our community chase their dreams and achieve excellence. That’s something we’re incredibly proud to support.” – Mark Hayward, Tristram
At Tristram, it’s all about relationships and premium customer care. This proudly family-owned, multi-franchise automotive group operates seven dealerships and service centres across Auckland, Northland, and the Far North. Whether you’re looking for a new or used vehicle—from Volkswagen, ŠKODA, Hyundai, Isuzu, Renault, Chery, and more—or need servicing, W.O.Fs, paint repairs, wheels and tyres, or parts and accessories, the Tristram team is dedicated to making sure your motoring experience is smooth and stress-free.
Tristram joined the North Harbour Club family in early 2025 as the sponsor of the BEN Breakfast Series, and they’ve hit the ground running. For Mark Hayward and the team, getting involved felt like a natural step for a company with such strong local roots. “We wanted to support a local organisation with shared values and help give back to the youth in our community,” says Mark.
Since coming on board, Tristram has already been part of some unforgettable moments—like MCing the BEN Breakfast with Dame Valerie Adams, where she spoke about leadership, growth, and the power of change, and hearing from Caitlin O’Reilly, the Club’s 2025 AIMES Youth Excellence Awards Supreme Winner, who swam the Cook Strait at just 12 years old. “It’s inspiring to hear these stories and know that we’re helping make them possible,” Mark adds.
For Tristram, sponsorship is about so much more than brand visibility. It’s about connecting with like-minded people, collaborating on projects, and helping create opportunities for young achievers. Knowing their support helps fund the AIMES Youth Excellence Awards programme—which provides grants for travel, training, equipment, and other opportunities—gives the team a sense of pride and purpose.
Mark encourages other businesses and young professionals to get involved with the Club. “Approach networking with authenticity and a genuine interest in others,” he says. “The Club is full of generous, inspiring people who want to make a difference. It’s more than just networking—it’s about building lasting relationships and strengthening our community.”
