ENTRY FORM - NORTH HARBOUR CLUB AIMES AWARDS 2019

Thank you for your interest in the AIMES Awards.


Please ensure you complete all sections of the application form. There are opportunities for you to upload information and supporting documentation, which you are encouraged to do within the specified size limits.

We recommend that you have the following items prepared prior to completing your application:-

  • A scanned copy of your birth certificate   (JPG, PNG or GIF Formats. Max file size 3MB)
  • Names and contact details of two referees
  • A scanned copy of your passport   (JPG, PNG or GIF Formats. Max file size 3MB)
  • A summary outlining your case for your award – this section is key to your application,
    so please ensure you include all relevant information    (RTF, TXT, DOC, DOCX or PDF. Max file size 4MB)

Once submitted, you will receive an email receipt of your application, if for some reason you do not receive this please contact Christie Parkin at christie@northharbourclub.co.nz to ensure your application has been received.

The North Harbour Club cannot be held responsible for any applications that are not received.

Once received, each application is reviewed by the members of our Judging Panel. Finalists are shortlisted and interviewed and from here the winners of the AIMES Awards, Emerging Talent Award and Junior Excellence Awards are selected. You will be kept informed through the process, but if you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact Christie on the email address above.

Please note

The closing date for 2019 AIMES applications is Thursday 15 August at 5:00pm. All entries MUST be submitted by this date for eligibility.

To be eligible to apply for a North Harbour Club AIMES Award, applicants must:-

  • Be aged between 10-25 years as at Thursday 15 August 2019.
  • Have lived in the North Harbour region and/or can demonstrate a strong affiliation with the North Harbour region for a period of not less than 3 calendar years.
  • Be able to demonstrate the achievement of excellence in their chosen field.
  • Be able to complete all sections and meet the expectations of the application form in full as requested.

(Eligibility will be decided by the Judging Panel and no correspondence will be entered into)

I confirm that I meet all eligibility criteria as detailed on the front of the North Harbour Club AIMES Award Application Form and, if shortlisted, am able to be interviewed by the Members of the North Harbour Club AIMES Judging Panel.

I consent to the collection of the personal information in my North Harbour Club AIMES Award Application and any attachments by the North Harbour Club Judging Panel and the Trustees of the North Harbour Club for the purpose of my applying for the award and for the North Harbour Club Judging Panel and the North Harbour Club to retain, use, and disclose these to such media or other promotional group or activity as the North Harbour Club Judging Panel and/or the North Harbour Club may think fit.

If I am successful in winning an AIMES Award, I will make every effort possible to attend the presentation ceremony in November 2018 in Auckland New Zealand.

If unable to attend the presentation ceremony for reasons outside of my control, I will provide a high resolution (H264 / Mpeg 4) professional acceptance video which will be played at the ceremony in lieu of my podium acceptance speech.

If awarded, I will make myself available to attend no less than three events for the North Harbour Club as either a guest, performer or speaker within the next two calendar years. These events may include, but are not limited to:

  • Sponsors evenings
  • Lexus of North Shore Charity Lunches
  • ‘After 5’ Members events
  • Future AIMES Awards Gala Dinners
  • Speaking engagements at a high school in the region

I agree, if presented with an AIMES Award, to keep the Trustees of the North Harbour Club updated quarterly with my progress and achievements, following receipt of the Award by way of a 200 word update and high resolution photo.

I understand that the decision of the Judging Panel is final and binding, and that no correspondence will be entered into.

I consent and authorise the Judging Panel to obtain additional personal information about me for purposes related to my North Harbour Club AIMES Award Application, from those referees nominated by me and from other persons and/or organisations as the Judging Panel may from time to time think fit to contact.

I acknowledge my right to access and correction of this information.
